Cable television subscribers may a different "PEG" or "Access" fees line item of $1 on their bills beginning in January.  These are funds that go to Grand Rapids, Cohasset, LaPrairie and Harris Township, through the Grand Rapids Area Cable Commission and land at ICTV's doors.  These fees help pay for the capital expenses of running your public access cable television station.  Rest assured these are not new fees. The providers have been paying them for several years but may now be reflecting them differently on the bill.  In 2012 the fee increased $.25 from $.75 where it was for the past four years.  This increase was approved following public hearings in each of the four communities.
